in cold blood by truman capote
i have always wanted to read this book. maybe because i inherited a love of gory true crime stories from my mother. i finally did this summer because my niece had to read it for school and that seemed like a good reason. i was actually disappointed. it was very slow and not in depth enough - in goriness or in psychological mining. so it isn't a must read. and they really shouldn't make high schoolers suffer through this one. no wonder kids don't like to read.
next on the shelf - Prayer and the Art of Volkswagen Maintenance by Donald Miller
a first version of his book through painted deserts. i got this one at the library sale. gotta love the library sales!
he is currently my fave so i don't expect to be disappointed

you had your hopes set high
so you shouldn't have taken that last blog too seriously, i suppose... since it has been nearly 5 months since my last blog.
anyhow. life is pretty confusing right now. waiting and dreaming are my least and most favorite things respectively. but at what point do i act on the dreaming and try to make it reality? *sigh*
so much for friday afternoon mania. i am discontent.
