until tax season is over. this is something i heard my entire life. when i wanted to do something or go somewhere my mom always told me we would do that when tax season was over. as an adult i now understand the stress that must have been present as she tried to raise four kids alone, work a full time job and run a business out of the home. i never really appreciated that until i started running the family business myself. there never seems to be enough time and the paradise that is "when tax season is over" seems limitless and full of hope and free time. and to be honest, i just don't have the brain power for the witty banter when i am surviving on four or five hours asleep. so, just you wait until tax season is over. i have a lot in store for you. more consistent blogging, some projects i have been working on, a few weddings i will be going to, some beautiful bike rides and the antics of a 5 month old english bulldog who i believe is functioning with less than optimum brain capacity. at least she is cute. i will be in and out between now and april 15th so please say hi and if you have any extra reese cups feel free to send them my way.
be brave, friends...
just wait...

i know...

it is tirade tuesday, but i just don't have it in me. if i did i would rant on about how people promise to write on their blog and then they are gone for more than ten days without a word. losers. ;-)
so today we have to take our tawney to be put to sleep. she has been sick for a while and she has gotten so weak and now refuses to eat. the photo is one taken by my amazing niece. tawney has been an amazing dog. she loves to chase cats and snuggle with andrew, my nephew, while he watches disney channel. she loves her stuffed babies that we buy her and will carry them to bed with her. lily has been a doting nurse for the past few weeks and will probably be lost without her beloved tawney. we have had tawney since she was 8 weeks old. we got her after a trip to sweden in 1996. she was an adorable puppy - all legs and ears. she loves to nap with mom in the afternoon and is terrified of our swimming pool. she chases bunnies in her sleep nearly every afternoon and loves to get treats. she has been a huge part of our lives for the past thirteen years. we will miss her terribly. please keep us in our thoughts and prayers. thanks, friends!
be brave...
