Great Guana Cay is a little island that is part of Abaco, Bahamas. It is so laid back and beautiful. The natives are very welcoming and friendly. We spent ten days of bliss on this amazing island and I would go back tomorrow...
yep. those are our footprints... and actually they were the only footprints as far as we could see because there was no one else on the beach. amazing!
here is our cutie patootie cottage. it was so wonderful - cozy and decorated beautifully... not to mention, word is that drew barrymore stayed there a few months before us... yeah, that's how we roll.
yes, the water was that blue!
an amazing dinner with great friends.
amazing tropical flowers
the island's only "gas station".
our island transportation. yep, the island was that small. mainly golf carts with only a few actual cars. and they drive on the left... that took a while to get used to. we only had a few close calls.
a best friend who loves to take photos of herself and a beautiful beach - somewhere in there.
a surprised birthday girl with an incredibly delicious homemade cake...
thanks to these two ladies!
the owner and talented chef at the art cafe... you must go there and order a slam bam - it is literally a mountain of cheese. a delicious mountain of cheese!
the view from the porch of the art cafe...
first time snorkeling... and definitely not the last. If you do go to Guana, be sure to make friends with Troy and go on a snorkeling or diving trip with him. It was truly unforgettable. We also set a world record for swimming when we swam back to the boat after we saw a shark...
Albury's Sail Shop, where I will be working when I move there. Sewing all day long... with a view of the ocean. Can't get better than that!
be brave, friends...

I love you and I miss you! I think that you and Mel and me and Chris and Alice and Melody should all go there for a family vacation. Sound good?
